Be a Hero
Not a runner? That's OK. Don't live in Nashville? That's OK too.
But, we bet you can give a mean pitch to your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers about how far a donation will go in helping a kid in Africa gain an education. (Hint: MUCH farther than it will go at your local school.)
Being a Hero is simple: commit to raising $250, $500, or $1,000 for kids in Africa. Each dollar you donate helps them and their school buy the supplies they need to go to school for a year. Soon, $25 becomes $100, becomes $500, becomes $1,000. And at that point, you are changing the lives of kids forever.
Of course, there's some benefit to you. You'll get in to the race for free. There is a great t-shirt that only goes to Heroes. And, if you reach your goal, you'll get a great prize!
Here's what you do:
- Complete the Hero Registration that follows.
- Commit to raising $250, $500 or $1,000.
- Kick off your fundraising efforts with a personal donation of $25.
- We'll send you a packet of information and keep sending you emails that will help you get started and keep going on your fundraising race. You'll also get your own online login page to keep track of your progress.
That's it. Pretty simple. Commit to helping a few kids, ask the people around you to donate, reach your goal, get a prize - and know that you've helped kids in Africa go to school so they can get out of the slums.
